About
Ertan
Elmaağaçlı
Born in 1972 in Germany,
Ertan was raised in a bi-cultural environment, German
and Turkish. He experienced first-hand how it is to be a second
generation Turkish immigrant.
After working for
an international company in Germany for more than 12
years,
Ertan
started his business education in
Germany and continued
his studies in the USA. He is a doctoral candidate at
the California School of International Management in San
Diego, California.
Ertan's primary academic focus is on
multi-cultural business integration. His multi-cultural
background reflects in his dissertation: Turkish immigrants' business contribution to
California. Until now, Turkish immigrants in the United
States have not been
researched thoroughly.
Besides
his studies in San Diego, he completed a one year
internship at the Citizen Diplomacy Council of San
Diego. For his extraordinary services, he was chosen as
'Intern of the Year' and awarded with the "National
Council for International Visitors' Star". Until now,
he is the only intern, who received the NCIV-Star.
After completing his doctoral
research and dissertation, Ertan is looking forward to
publish his findings and re-join the
professional world.
